As Assistant to the Managing Director, you will be an important part of the management team of the Heitkamp & Thumann Group based at city center of Düsseldorf. You will be actively involved in challenging global projects. This versatile role offers you the unique opportunity to gain insight into decision-making processes that ensure the success of our group of companies and contribute to further growth. You will report directly to the Group CEO.

Your duties

  • Challenging projects with a focus on strategy, controlling, finance, accounting and the Group's divisions and business units.

  • You will support the management in all areas of responsibility.

  • You will be responsible for conducting market and potential analyses, as well as profitability and investment calculations.

  • You will prepare presentations and decision-making documents for the management

  • You support the planning and implementation of national and international workshops and meetings

  • You will work on strategic projects across the Group and develop the business strategy.

  • You will support departments in their day-to-day operations and by taking on independent projects.

  • You support communication within the H&T Group, prepare speeches and contribute to the external presentation of the H&T Group.

Your profile

  • You have completed your studies in the field of economics, industrial engineering, business administration or comparable with excellent results and ideally have an MBA degree.

  • Ideally, you have initial professional experience in a management and/or strategy consultancy, as well as experience in planning and implementing projects.

  • You are familiar with international working methods and cultures through work/ internships/ studies abroad.

  • You understand and are interested in financial and business interrelationships and projects based on them.

  • You have very good correspondence and presentation skills.

  • You work independently, autonomously and proactively, are well organized and able to set the right priorities.

  • You can handle with busy times. You can keep track of simultaneous tasks and projects.

  • You are able to "get stuck in", are goal- and problem-setting oriented, and critically question issues.

  • Absolute integrity and confidentiality are given.

  • You enjoy business trips and are internationally mobile - for a limited period of time

  • You communicate effectively in written and spoken German and English
